The Optima Mid is well known for its brilliant debut at the 2nd World Electric Off-Road Championships in England in 1987 where the prototype took 5 out of 10 qualifiers in the A-Main final, finishing second. The Optima chassis layout, with the engine and landing gear positioned midships, gained popularity and became the basis for modern racing buggies. It is this Optima Mid that is being reproduced as the 10th model in the Kyosho Vintage Series. The main chassis is made of 6016T6 aluminum alloy, which guarantees high rigidity. Every component of the car has been updated to adapt to a modern drive system such as: B. the 48-speed gearbox for improved efficiency and precise setting of gear ratios. The replica Optima Mid also features adjustable belt tension with a tensioner not available at the time. ultimately achieve a smooth ride with minimal loss.
