The Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 is a legend in the 911 series. It was developed in 1973 to take part in the European GT races. It has a 2,687ccm 6-cylinder engine with 210hp and a lightweight body with improved aerodynamics. The RSR 2.8 racing version had a revised 2,808ccm engine with over 300hp and won the European GT racing series in 1973.
The model is delivered on the TAMIYA BT-01 chassis in the construction version with a short wheelbase, mid-engine and rear-wheel drive (MR).
The TAMIYA BT-01 chassis is a beginner-friendly chassis that offers 6 different drive and chassis variations.
The wheelbase can be built in 257mm and 251mm. The chassis is also based on the drive systems of real cars and can be built as a front engine or mid-engine with front or rear wheel drive.
