The Porsche 956 is a real piece of motorsport history. This sports car prototype was developed for the endurance world championship and was first used in 1982. In the first year it won both championships (constructors' and drivers' championships)!The Tamiya model is a replica of the 1983 Le Mans winning vehicle of Schuppan, Haywood and Holbert.The kit is delivered with an unpainted body and includes an RS-540 Sport Tuned.
The chassis has a 2WD drive on the rear axle - similar to the former formula chassis from TAMIYA. The chassis (Group C) has an ABS plastic tub and foam rubber tires. The enclosed body is unpainted.
